[Blog update] Upcoming topics

September 11th, 2008

I’ve put in motion the following blogging assignment which I believe will really help challenge myself and my writing.

Since writing, “On Life, The World, and Society” (originally posted on my old blog), I’ve decided that this is exactly the kind of article I want to write more of — only this time I’ll be writing about specific subject matters.

The below is a list of topics that I’ll be writing about in the near future, a lot of them having to do with social issues/ethics — some continuing the themes of past articles I’ve written. This list is by no means complete, nor conclusive on the sort of topics that I will be writing about. I will occasionally add or modify topics from the below list.

I won’t be getting into anything too controversial, as I don’t want to over-approach things or seem disrespectful of someone’s personal beliefs.

Also, as I write, I may feel differently about a certain topic or issue, but that doesn’t mean I’m right about it.

I have complete respect for people’s beliefs. Everyone has the right to believe in whatever they want, and no individual or group should be allowed to take that right away. Prejudice has no place.

Overall, I really just want to write/share some thought provoking articles on very important issues which affect just about everyone. I’ve decided to write about these topics because they also resonate my passion for exploring the roots of something — not just knowing that something happens… but understanding the how and the why.

As I publish these articles, feel free to add your own opinions and/or etc. to the comments.

Over the next couple of months (anywhere from 5-18 months, or longer if necessary) I’ll be exploring some, if not all of the following topics (not to mention the topics not on this list) [in no particular order]:

  1. The Environment (sustainability, sustainable living, efficiency, alternative fuels, responsibility, etc.)
  2. Why living sustainably should mean more to us than just “saving the world”
